TINA TSUCHIYAMA
Tina is a current Barnard College senior who likes to talk about herself in the third person.
Born in Hawaii but raised in Tokyo, she currently resides in Manhattan. An island girl through and through, she loves all water activities although she shudders to think about what lurks in the Hudson.
After a lot of great experiences thanks to some amazing people who took a chance on her, she is ready for her next great adventure. She has had writing, e-commerce, start-up, non-profit/microfinance, and advertising experience at the following firms respectively: The Wall Street Journal, Expedia, Inc., Ikayzo, Inc., Women's World Banking, and Ogilvy & Mather. These exceptional places introduced her to great people, big ideas, and global concepts and have shaped who she is today.
At her various jobs, she has been noted for her keen intuition, her quick learning, her love of team projects and collaboration, and her obsession with colorful post-its.
Ultimately, she aspires to help businesses find creative solutions for their problems, especially in the digital sphere - mainly because she has found that innovative ideas are more fun for everybody and make a greater impact.
In her spare time, she enjoys scuba diving, exploring New York City, reading about all things new and social (so basically everything), and passionately advocates for the oxford comma.
