Since 1984 I have remained committed to clay. I hold a BA from Marymount College inTarrytown and a BFA from Parson School of Design in NYC. In between my formal education I apprenticed to ceramist Maishe Dickman in New Haven, CT for 12 months. In 1989, Villeroy & Boch sponsored a program called "The Spirit of Europe" & selected my Parson's ceramics department to design & produce a beverage service for two in their factory overseas. The sets were marketed and royalties were received by all of us involved

In 1991 I opened my own production studio called Table of Contents and maintained that for 7 years. Needing a break from slip-cast production ware I shifted directions by making tile & mosaics. Commissioned projects followed.

In addition to residential projects I co-coordinated 2 outdoor mosaic projects: The Community Wall Mosaic in Riverhead NY then the 9-11 Memorial Mosaic on the Westhampton Beach School grounds in 2002.

Then in 2008, my artistic direction changed sharply from functional to sculptural. Led by my intuition, I began making totemic figures; robed human figures with animal heads. These pieces have been inspired by both primitive art and my own spiritual & creative exploration in healing modalities of indigenous cultures.

My husband & I live in Patchogue, Long Island. Together we own Fee Fi Faux, Inc a faux finish & wallpaper business. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the East End Arts Council in Riverhead, NY.
