Born Tina Marie Martin, Ebun Ife was given her name by a dear Nigerian friend back in 1996. Ebun Ife is Yoruba and translates into the "Gift of Love". In Nigeria, the Yorubas believe that people are suppose to live out the meaning of their name.
Ebun Ife is currently a graduate student at San Francisco State University. She will receive her M.Ed (concentration in Equity & Social Justice) in May 2014. In 2005, she received her B.A. in Africana Studies at San Francisco State University. Her research consists of examining culturally relevant teaching & learning pedagogies and the impact it can have on the educational outcome of African American learners in public education.
She is the mother of two brilliant children, a blogger, a community volunteer and a social justice activist. She currently resides in San Francisco, CA. For further information, please feel free to browse the links below.
