About Me

Tinashe is currently the Managing Director of Cadence Foresight Innovation Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to strategic foresight and social innovation in Canada and the world.

Prior to this role, she was the Executive Director for the Toronto Workforce Innovation Group (TWIG), a leading-edge research and partnership organization responding to the diverse needs of local communities and businesses in the area of workforce development and the future of work. To this role, she brings dynamic experience having worked in public policy, community development, and other social innovative strategies that address economic development and access.

She has served on local and international boards and committees dedicating her efforts to social enterprise, workforce planning, inclusion, migration, gender-based analysis, and health. As a social entrepreneur, she has co-founded various programs and initiatives. For 4 years, Tinashe co-owned and managed her first business, Eye On Africa, an African art social enterprise that supported families affected by HIV/AIDS with a retail store in downtown Toronto when I was 15. Other ventures she has co-founded are Canada Africa Partnership on AIDS (CAPAIDS)and CatalystsX.

Tinashe was the Director of Operations and Innovation at York University for the Youth Research and Evaluation eXchange (YouthREX), a project that promotes the integration of evidence and evaluation in the development and delivery of Ontario's youth programs. Her work focused on service design, organizational effectiveness, and strategic partnerships.

She served for over 5 years on the TELUS Foundation local board, a Canadian national telecommunications company, that provides grants to innovative impact projects in the GTHA. In addition, she currently sits on the Advisory Board of TVO, Canada’s oldest educational television service.
