My name is Tine Scheldeman, and I am a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, coach, and founder of BJJ Thoughts.

Martial arts have been a part of my life since I was 11 years old, when I started training judo. Over the years, I also gained experience in boxing and taekwondo, but grappling has always been my first love.

In my twenties, I discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I never looked back. What initially attracted me was the technical and strategic nature of the sport, but over time I came to appreciate the many life lessons that BJJ offers: resilience, problem-solving, discipline, and continuous personal growth.

Alongside my martial arts journey, I have also worked as a yoga teacher and coach. These experiences helped me develop a deeper understanding of movement, body awareness, and long-term athletic development.

BJJ Thoughts is where I share my experiences, lessons, and reflections from years of training, competing, coaching, and learning. My goal is to help others grow both on and off the mats through the principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Whether you are a beginner, a competitor, or simply curious about the art, I hope you find something valuable here.
