Craig Poirier
I do in house training for a single family or large groups (invite your friends, extended family or grandparents). I also do Public classroom settings at your local community center. I can also travel to different cities in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
I am an experienced Paramedic with 15 years working in EMS. I have training in:-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), -Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), -Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), -Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
I am a father of a 8 month old baby boy and a 12 year old step son. I know how busy life can be for parents with kids. I also understand how expensive kids can be as well. I designed this program to be quick, convenient, and inexpensive, to give everyone the opportunity to learn these important skills and vital knowledge. In 15 years of working in EMS, I have come across countless life or death emergencies involving infants and children. Some of these emergencies could have had more positive outcome if these important life saving skills would have been provided prior to EMS arriving. In Calgary, the average response time for an ambulance is 8 minutes or less. If your child stops breathing or their heart stops beating, that's 8 minutes without oxygen. Learn EXACTLY what to do in this situation (while in the comfort of your own home).
My goal as a Father/ Paramedic/ Instructor is to teach these vitals skills to as many parents/ grandparents/ friends of family, etc. as possible. If you have an infant or child, this could be the most important 2 hours of your and your childs' life.
