I began writing professionally when I went to live in Kenya during the 1990s. I went for 3 months and stayed 8 years, including a brief time in Zambia. I started by writing fiction for the African Children's Literature market in Zimbabwe and Kenya. I also specialised in short fiction on contemporary African themes for Cricket and Cicada Magazines in the US. Now back the UK, I write quick reads for reluctant teen readers for Ransom Publishing, and am re-publishing some of my short fiction on Kindle.
