Arun Tiwari
Arun is a Fashion Design Graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. He is known for his experimental approach to design and high level of quality and perfection. After graduating with an award winning collection, Earthen Canvas in 2007, a tribute to Indian farmers, Arun was awarded with the 'Valuable Employee for Aditya Birla Group'after completing 3 committed years in Allen Solly in Bangalore. Besides several other notable projects, his work was selected in the World of Wearable Arts (WOW), New Zealand in 2007. He has also worked for rural women development U.P. and H.P. Some of the other projects and acclaim over the years have been: costume design for National School of Drama and Samudra Centre for Indian Contemporary Performing Arts'. He was invited by Gov. of Bihar on the occasion of celebrating 100years of Bihar to showcase his collection in SILKS OF BIHAR, on 1st April 2012 in Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. His story was covered by all leading newspapers in Delhi and Patna and he infancies as a known name to keep contributing towards sustainable fashion. He dreamt of reinventing himself and the learnings from his childhood. Working towards it, in 2010, he moved back to Delhi and expanded his own design collection into a hi-fashion clothing label, 'Earthen Canvas'. It is an ode to the real India. The India that is soaring towards modernity but with its feet still rooted to the ground. Rural in inspiration and urban in presentation, it is a perspective to an India rich in design.
