Tiziano Puppi

Bruxelles, Belgium

M.Sc. Computational Physics

Tiziano obtained a B.Sc in Physics from the University of Trieste (Italy) in 2008 and a M.Sc. in Computational Physics in 2010 at the University of Udine (Italy).

During his studies he learnt modern techniques for the simulation of physical systems: from atomic interactions to fluid dynamics or statistical systems. He developed a particular interest for Monte Carlo simulations and wrote a master thesis where he applied his knowledge to the study of financial markets, developing a model for non-standard pricing of financial derivatives. In 2010 he joined Generali, one of the most significant players in the global insurance and financial products market, as a risk manager. Within the Risk Management department he faced the mathematical development of internal risk model for Solvency II requirements and helped the Group with the introduction of a new IT platform for the computation of risk assessment process.

Tiziano joint B12 with great enthusiasm during fall 2012. His knowledge of efficient coding practices as well as his working experience in large and complex projects helps B12's clients to scale from simple applications to big platforms in an agile and painless way. Currently he is working on a C++ / Qt cross-platform application for clients in the education industry. In his free time, he likes to go hiking and explore nature, and when this is not possible there is always time for a short run or a Belgian beer.
