TJay Belt is a Professional Database Administrator and has been developing his expertise since October 2000.
He has been working in IT since 1995. He enjoys delivering technical presentations, and has presented for Microsoft, Professional Association for SQL Server, SQL Server Worldwide User Group, PASS SQL Saturday events, and local SQL Server User groups. TJay has published technical articles for SQL Server Central, Simple Talk, SQL-Server-Performance. He has even written part of a SQL Server book in 2010.
He is the founder and was the leader of the PASS chapter SQL Server user group in Utah County. TJay has volunteered as a Chapter leader for PASS, Regional Mentor for PASS chapters, PASS Chapter Committee, was the founder of the Auditing & Compliance Special Interest Group with PASS. TJay currently volunteers as a Regional Mentor for PASS chapters.
In July of 2008 he was nominated for the MVP Award from Microsoft for SQL Server. Many more nominations came (10 total he knows of) until he received this amazing award in October 2014.
TJay is also an outdoorsman who enjoys riding dirtbikes, waterskiing/boating, playing racquetball, paintballing, and spending time with his family.
