Personal Biography

On May 5th, 2015, I became part of a special group of individuals here in the United States, and around the world. On that day I became an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, an achievement that less than 5 percent of all Boy Scouts reach. This was a major moment in my life. Becoming an Eagle Scout in tern helped me become who I am today. Through the countless hiking trips and campouts, I learned how to persevere during tough times, and make the most out of things, especially when not everything was going my way. During community service projects and charity events, I learned how to put others before myself, and that helping those in need can bring true joy to my life. Most importantly, through my Eagle Scout project, I learned how to lead others and how to work well when I am under pressure. In other areas of my life, becoming an Eagle Scout helped me in ways that I never could have guessed. In school, the hard work and determination I had in perusing my Eagle rank carried over into my academic life. It showed me how to stay organized and on top of my work, as well as how to best manage my time. In the long run, my Eagle Scout helped me get into the University of Georgia and has further helped me when looking for jobs and internships. Becoming an Eagle Scout is something that I take pride in, and without it my life would be dramatically different.
