Tesfaye Kemsi

I am a 19 year old freshman attending the University of Georgia. I am also the first in my family to attend college. I can not thank anybody more than my family. They are the people that raised me to become a gentleman and scholar. They always pushed me to focus on my education. Even though I would be stubborn with them at times, they never stopped loving me and leading me into the right direction in life. They have always told me that they are hard on me only because they want the best for me. I never really understood why they were always were on my back when it came to school but I now understand now that I have arrived at UGA. Not everyone can get the opportunity to get a higher education and I am blessed to have a family that cares about me and my future. When I finish my studies in school, I plan to re-pay my parents for all that they sacrificied to make sure I lived a comfortable life. This picture was from the day of my high school graduation. That was one of the best days in my life because I felt that I made my parents truly proud. This picture represents all of the love that me and my family has towards each other and shows that we will always stick with each other no matter what.
