Trevor Lazarus

Brooklyn, New York, United States

Born in Houston, educated in Chicago, and now paying rent in Brooklyn, Trevor is a marketer specializing in editorial and digital design. He is on the hunt for projects that merge his creative services experience with his academic background in journalism and psychology. He also hopes to return to the Lone Star state in the near future, before his infant nephews exit their unbearably cute stage. But after they have been potty trained.

Currently he supports his globetrotting, foodie lifestyle by creating and developing products for The Foundry at Time Inc.’s clients, aligning advertisers’ campaigns with editorial and advertorial content. Before his current role, he worked at Sports Illustratedfor four-ish years, where he grew from a design intern to senior designer who managed the production of the publication’s front-of-the-book content. He has also held positions on the Social Media team at Discover Financial Services, and on the Public Relations team at Holocaust Museum Houston.

In his free time, he can be found: challenging friendships over board games; struggling with CrossFit; preparing meals out of his slow cooker; and binge-watching Netflix’s seasonal offerings. While 2016 will be mostly domestic due to a bevvy of weddings, Trevor’s passion is to travel abroad and dine on the cuisines of foreign cultures. He is also an out-and-proud geek, with an insatiable appetite for comic books, especially anything Batman related.

An avid learner, he has recently studied:

  • Front-End Web Development at General Assembly
  • sushi rolling
  • conversational Italian
  • lock picking
