My name is Taylor MacRae and I'm a Hospitality and Tourism Major at the University of Massachusettes Amherst. I'm currently a first semester junior and looking forward to finding an internship in a hotel for the summer of 2014. I've always been intrigued by hotels and the hospitality industry in general. I transferred to UMass Amherst my sophomore year to pursue this major from Quinnipiac University. The Hospitality and Tourism program in Isenberg here at UMass is among the top 5 in the country. I feel really excited to be a part of it and be able to gain so much knowledge about a topic that I find so very interesting.

This winter break I'll be traveling abroad to Italy with the Business in Italy program at UMass Amherst. I'm taking a class now to learn about globalization and the business culture in Italy. While abroad, we will visit Rome, Siena, Florence, & Milan. I've never left the country so I'm looking forward to the experience as well as learning more about international business and the different types of business culture.
