Who I am at work

I’ve been in the construction industry long enough to know what actually works – and what only looks good on paper.

I started out as a carpenter, and over the years I’ve worked across sales, product management and technical advisory. Today I work at Norgips, where I’m closely involved in projects at an early stage – where decisions are made and where the consequences of those decisions last.

What I do is actually quite simple:

I cut through complexity and make it clear what the right solution is.

I work closely with architects, consultants and contractors, and my role is often to ask the questions that help land on solutions that actually work – not just technically, but in real-life execution on site.

I care about things making sense.

They need to be buildable, they need to perform, and they need to last.

Over the years, I’ve also been involved beyond individual projects:

It’s really about the same thing:

helping ensure things are done right – not just in theory, but in practice.

Today I also work with product complaints, which adds another dimension.

That’s where you clearly see what went wrong – and why. It’s probably the best kind of learning you can get.

In short: I like making the complex simple and helping people make better decisions.

Who I am as a person

I’m someone who likes to understand how things connect – whether it’s technical matters, people or situations.

I’m naturally curious and enjoy getting to the bottom of things, both professionally and personally. I’m also quite direct – I say what I mean, but I aim to do it in a way that creates progress, not resistance.

I enjoy being around people.

I speak up when needed, contribute in discussions and like to bring energy into a group. At the same time, I need to understand things properly – I’m not a fan of surface-level answers.

Outside of work, I value staying active. Golf and sailing give me both focus and balance – in many ways it’s similar to work: you assess, adjust and make decisions along the way.

I’m also interested in society and politics, and I like to understand how things develop and why.

I care about quality in what I do.

Not because it has to be perfect, but because it should be done properly.

In short: I’m someone who likes to understand, contribute and make things work – both on my own and together with others.
