Todd Mobraten

Todd Mobraten is an entrepreneur and strategic business leader. He has more than 15 years of experience in distressed assets and real estate, as well as nearly 20 years of experience as a business operator. He joined Lake Forest, Calif.-based USRES in 1999, where he was director of marketing, senior vice president and executive vice president before ultimately becoming the company’s president and chief operating officer, a role in which he oversaw the company’s entire executive staff and more than 400 employees. During this time, Mobraten was integral in branding USRES and co-creating the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, RES.NET, in 2003 – a revolutionary software company known throughout the industry for changing the real estate liquidation process by improving the efficiency of transactions and the method in which parties interact and communicate.

RES.NET quickly penetrated an extremely competitive real estate technology market, gaining 60 percent market share by 2008. Mobraten’s work to integrate USRES and RES.NET resulted in year over year growth; under his leadership USRES continually increased corporate margins by as much as 275 percent, which occurred from 2008 to 2009. Mobraten aided in sustaining the business during the market downfall, focusing largely on diversifying USRES’ product offerings and aligning partnerships to best serve its customers and the industry as a whole.

Throughout his career, Mobraten has served as a source and a thought leader for the media, contributing to more than 100 articles in 30 distinct publications. He had the distinct honor of interviewing President Bill Clinton at the 2012 National Five Star Event, during a presentation for more than 4,000 mortgage industry professionals and has hosted luncheon meetings for former First Lady Laura Bush and Steve Forbes in 2009 and 2010. Mobraten was named one of the top 20 industry leaders in 2012 by DSNews. He is extremely active in the mortgage industry; Mobraten is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA), REOMAC and USFN.
