Ram Mandir Fategarh hilltopShri Ram temple was built at a cost of more than 10crores with donations from the villagers of Bhapur, Fatehgarh & Shri Ram Seva parishad. The height of Rekha temple is about 65 feet, Bhadra 35 feet, Mohan 25 feet, and it is located 1,800 feet above sea level. The architecture of this temple is similar to that of Ganjam Maa Tara Tarini Temple, which is made of ‘Baulamala’ stone only.According to local peopleof fategarh, this Fatehgarh Ram Mandir has a historical legend. Before the construction of the ram temple, there was Bhagavata-Pitha on this hill. The people of this village have been worshipping Lord Govardhan for rain. In 1912, during Lord-Jagannath’s Nabakalabar Neem tree was collected from this forest for Lord Sudarshan. The villagers of Fatehgarh formed a committee to commemorate this place and started to work on the temple soon after. A children’s park and a parking lot have been constructed on the hill for tourists and devotees. Fatehgarh Ram Mandir is one of the famous temples in odisha.
