I'm a junior at Mercyhurst University, majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Theatre. I will be attending Fashion Institute of Technology on a visiting program in the Fall of 2015 to finish my Bachelor degree.

A self-proclaimed fashionista, I dress to impress and I refuse to conform to conventional fashion. Which is why I aspire to work in the field of avant-garde fashion in the future. I want to explore the borderless possibility of fashion to redefine fashion as an art form whose credibility, at the moment, is contaminated by commercialization. I want to honor the legacy of pioneering avant-garde fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Dries van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter van Beirendonck... whose theatricality and rebellious artistic visions live on.

"The violets in the mountains have broken the rocks" (Tennessee Williams). I believe in the surviving, invincible power of art and I wish to spend my career cultivating this power. I'm ambitious, determined, self-initiative and adaptable; as a college junior with major life decisions ahead, I'm confident that I can fiercely face with any challenge coming at me in the near future.
