Moin, I'm Tobias, software engineer from Hannover/Linden, Germany. I ❤️ to design and develop beautiful apps for Apple devices like iPhone & iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and the Mac. Other than just limiting myself to programming, I'm also very addicted to designing interfaces that put the user experience first.
🏦 At frobese GmbH Informatikservices I develop apps for banks, financial service providers and insurance companies - both in-house and external. While those apps cover the subject-specific custom services of course also dealing with data security is very important especially in this realm.
🏥 At Hannover Medical School I'm a PhD student in the multidisciplinary and international research group MedAppLab. Our area of research is focussed on dealing theoretically with the ethical and legal aspects of using mobile devices and the accompanying applications, but also actively in the design and development of such applications and their evaluation with usability questions and practical benefits in mind. My thesis is about the evaluation of scientific studies on mobile devices using the Implicit Association Test implemented in the ResearchKit framework on iOS.
🏪 During my study I started the project Kioskguide to put what I learned into practice. A kiosk is a booth selling small consumables such as newspapers, cigarettes, drinks and sweets. This is especially very common in Hannover where you say it has the most of them based on population and is therefore the main topic in local newspapers from time to time. The Kioskguide features a website to list those kiosks by district and on the city map while the apps for iPhone and Android show you the currently open ones closed by. The data are provided by an own backend and can be complemented by any citizen.
