Tobias Mews

Once upon a time I was a British Army Officer, serving in the Royal Artillery. But all of a sudden, I forgot about what I had wanted to do before joining the Army, before going to university.

So now, to quote a cliche, I'm living the dream. I'm a semi professional athlete, competing in some of the toughest races in the world. I'm also a freelance journalist, writing for a number of outdoor publicatoins such as Runner's World, Men's Fitness, Men's Health and Cycling Plus.

Early in 2011, I finished the Marathon des Sables in 21st place and as the Top British Finisher - which was pretty cool! Since then I've taken on the Norseman, the Cape Epic and the Jungle Ultra, where I came 2nd.
