Tobi Isaac Olusegun (born April 7, 1998), popularly known as TBS, is a Nigerian Singer and Songwriter.
TBS is a Nigerian-based R & B Artiste. He embarked on his music career in 2014 while in his Secondary School. In 2017, He continued his Education at the Tertiary level at Caleb University in Lagos, Nigeria — bagging his degree in Economics.
TBS grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, during a musical era where soft RnB music was reigning with the likes of Wizkid, Nonso Amadi, Banky W being the top played musicians. In December 2014, He released his first song titled “Mujo” which was Produced by Otyno also Mixed & Mastered By Spyritmyx, and just a few months later he put out a follow up single titled “EBANO”.
Later In 2017, He put out one of his greatest works which he’s sure proud of, a song titled “BAD” which has been one of his most successful works so far.
TBS taught himself to write his songs and he makes it clear that he draws his lyrical inspiration from moments of extreme emotional phases such as heart break, and sensual pleasures. He currently has no strong public affiliation with any other artist and bears a mystical impression to his persona.
TBS cites Wizkid as his major musical influence. He is also inspired by the likes of Drake, Jon Bellion, Justin Bieber and Bryson Tiller. He also looks up to Nigerian artistes like Nonso Amadi, Wande Coal, Maleek Berry and Fela for his R&B / Afro- influence.
