Todd Matia

I have been a pre-engineering instructor for the past 13 years. A main focus of my classes has always been innovation and design. In the last few years, I decided I needed to take my own advice and create something that was my own. I have always been creative and have had the ability to help people plainly understand difficult concepts. As an outpouring of my technical skills paired with my teaching and designing strengths, I created Stinky Kid Math. Stinky Kid Math is an affordable resource that helps students struggling in Algebra and Geometry to understand what they are learning and why they would use it from a concept level. I have enjoyed venturing out because it empowers me to teach my students from a real-world perspective of what it takes to make an idea a reality. I have enjoyed it so much that I have stepped into a role of technical sales in LED energy savings programs, as well as helping with the development of clean water solutions. I love all of my new ventures, and they all seem to blend well together creating opportunity and a space to expand the way we think and do things.
