Todd Esse

Todd Esse is a longtime business executive with extensive experience in the merchant energy sector. Since 2008, he has served as managing member with Southport Energy, LLC, where he oversees investments in energy assets that include oil and gas prospects and grids. Todd Esse’s firm most recently spearheaded investment in the Pennsylvania combined-cycle power plant Erie Power, LLC, which connects to the New York grid.

Mr. Esse is also cofounder of Southport, Connecticut-based Pearl Street Energy, LP, where he manages the provision of energy efficiency measures such as natural gas conversion. His firm’s turnkey solutions meet the needs of diverse clients, from the boards of co-ops to developers and property owners. He fulfills a host of implementation-related requirements, including design, funding, permits, and the securing of long-term gas supplies.

Todd Esse previously served as partner with Sempra Energy Trading and guided activities spanning Europe. Based in London for several years, he played a vital role in the development of the traded natural gas market.
