Todd Hansen

Hansen was born in Chicago in 1965. He grew up in Winnetka Illinois where he attended and graduated from New Trier High School. After high school, Hansen at the age of 18 was hired by Paine Webber Jackson and Curtis and worked on the Chicago Board of Trade. He then went on to attend The American University in Washington, DC where he graduated in 3 years with a Degree in Political Science and Justice. While at American he worked 20-hours a week at a marketing company and 20 hours a week as a United States Senate Parking Attendant. Hansen is proud of graduating in 3 years while working 40 hours per week. In his Freshman year at The American University he was elected from the 10th Congressional District of Illinois as the youngest elected Delegate to the National Nominating Convention where he was a Ronald Reagan Delegate. At age 21 he went on to pursue his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the American University while serving as a United States Capitol Police Officer. Hansen then went on to attended and received his law degree from George Mason University Law School in 1993. As a Police Officer he received training from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia and the FBI Academy. Hansen served as a Motorbike officer and a Victim-Witness Assistant Officer. He relocated to his hometown in 1993 to run for State Representative in Illinois where he was nominated by the Republican Party. Before leaving The United States Capitol Police they offered him the position of being the Public Spokesman for the department, which he declined to move back home. After the campaign Hansen owned a small business in Wilmette. In 1999 seeking a more free state Hansen moved to Arizona where he became a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. Later Hansen continued his public service by serving on the Gilbert planning and zoning commission as well as a Diversity Task Force. In 2008 he ran for the county health board. Hansen enjoys public service, volunteer work, sports, movies and travel. In the future Hansen plans on making Phoenix and Arizona a better place to live. Hansen believes all men should be free to determine their own future through their own decisions. He supports people and ideas that advance liberty and freedom, such as the Goldwater Institute in Arizona. Hansen seeks a future where all parents will be able to determine where their children go to school and all people are peaceful.
