Todd Novak

Sioux Falls, SD

Established in 2008, The Freshman Academy was created to build a bridge from 8th grade to 10th grade for students who enter Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD.

As the coordinator of the program from its creation and in concert with teachers, counselors, and administration, we have seen great success in ninth grade completion and in ninth grade learning and leadership development.

I have 20+ years of education experience specializing in creating systems for students to succeed.

It's about relationships, and then it's about systems that support, direct, and grow those relationships in a way that fosters learning.

I spent a summer of breathtaking sunrises and sunsets at the pictured lookout tower, which is in the Bitterroot Mountains in Montana.
