Based in Akron, Ohio, Todd Rickel is the managing partner and president of EDUGRP, LLC, a K-20 education innovation company that offers online educational rollout and development, educational e-publishing, and educational funding. The firm also provides educational opportunities to first-generation degree seekers. He is also the managing partner and president of Rickel Education Group LLC. Previously, Todd Rickel functioned as vice provost and executive dean for the College of Applied Science and Technology for the University of Akron. He was the chief administrative and academic officer of the college, which encompassed business and IT, engineering and science technology, and applied general and technical studies, maintaining a 25% margin. He also offered managerial oversight for satellite locations, and served as dean for regional campus Wayne College for one year.

Todd Rickel holds three degrees, all from Kent State University. He earned a B.S. in biology, an M.A. in cultural anthropology, and a doctor of philosophy in cultural foundations of education. He has applied his knowledge in the service of many educational institutions, including the University of Phoenix and the Herzing Educational System.
