Ms Bakare is a UK trained Behaviour Analyst who has over a decade of experience in the field of developmental psychology. She is a specialist consultant, providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services to children with developmental disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Ms Bakare is also the founder of asktoks.com, an online platform for families in need of professional behavioural advice, treatment and support. After relocating from the UK at the begining of 2014, she has begun consulting with Nigerian organisations in Lagos and Abuja in her effort to bring ABA treatment services to the health sector and to improve the quality of specialist education services in Nigeria.
Her commitment to bridging knowledge gaps through advocacy and education; and to addressing the lack of treatment options through in underserviced areas, is evident in her current work in Nigeria. She strongly believes in education that acknowledges multiple intelligences and the potential for all children, no matter their ability, to lead full and meaningful lives.
