Hello, I'm Tolga!
I am reviewing Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems on my personal web page. I am also installing and configuring software such as VMware, VirtualBox and Hyper-V used in virtualization technologies.
I would like to briefly give you information about virtualization;
What is Virtualization?
Virtualization; It is the name given to create independent fields by dividing the hardware resources of a computer using the software. It is the process of dividing the equipment with coarse expression. Today, physical servers purchased or rented are virtualized and used by 95%. Currently, 99% of the websites you can access on the internet, including the website you are reading this article, are hosted and run on virtualized areas.
VMWare is a virtualization software that only produces software on virtualization and is the industry-leading (we prefer) own operating system, both windows-based and Linux-based. Thanks to its simple interface with the workstation model built on Windows, it allows you to produce more than one computer with different ip addresses on a computer by dividing the hardware features you have. The biggest negative aspect of this system is that it needs windows operating system to work. A certain portion of your computer's hardware will use windows before running VMWare workstation software. In the Linux-based version of ESXi, you can successfully perform your sanitation with an operating system of around 300-400 MB, and transfer the resources on your system to your virtual servers virtually without any loss.
HyperV is a virtualization platform developed by Microsoft. On Windows servers, it can be installed and managed simply by using the server manager. The biggest disadvantage is that it requires a Windows environment to work, the biggest advantage compared to other software is that it is constantly being updated and it can be integrated quickly and stably in new hardware as its developer is Microsoft.
Although Oracle VM is generally used for free simple virtualizations today, it is preferred frequently and professionally in bigdata management systems developed by oracle. Its usage is a bit more troublesome than other platforms, and the hardware compatibility chart is in a slightly narrower state.
