Hello, I'm a career logistics professional. I started in the field as a sales rep. for Carolina Freight Carriers right out of college 29 years ago. I've run large scale transportation brokerage operations, international freight forwarding operations, Third Party logistics and warehousing for major fortune 500 clients. I have managed large scale military logistics project work in support of Operation Enduring Freedom at the Bagram Air Base and Kandahar NATO base in Afghanistan. I've successfully consulted with manufacturers to assist with the implementation of sophisticated TMS and WMS systems. I learned a lot about doing business in a B2B environment in these ventures.
In 2002 I purchased an old defunct lumber yard and built a 40,000 sft Self Storage Facility on the property that has maintained a 92% occupancy rate since year one. I learned about B2C business while building and operating my storage facility.
I've been blessed to have been able to found, operate and eventually sell some of these businesses, but the venture i'm the most excited about is my start-up called RedBin Technologies. RedBin will enter the on-demand small bin storage space in NYC. We will domicile our warehouse operations in beautiful historic Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I will bring all of my experience from the commercial logistics and warehouse management fields along with my expertise in consumer self storage to this venture. Along with me is an expert team of software engineers and professionals that I have worked directly with and against in the warehouse management and transportation management fields. Together we have developed a plan that will truly impress.
It is my goal to provide NYC with a first class on-demand small bin storage solution that will truly WOW the consumer with low costs and white glove service. A heartfelt thank you to our investors for the trust and enthusiasm you share and my executive team that works tirelessly to pull our dream together. All the Best, Tom
