Tom Plouff is multifaceted attorney in private practice through his own law office in Chicago, Illinois. He handles cases that range from medical malpractice and general personal injury to product liability and civil rights violations. His recent victories include a $35-million faulty medical device verdict against Johnson & Johnson, an $11.1-million medical malpractice verdict against Victory Memorial Hospital, and a $5.7-million slip and fall case against Rouse-Randhurst. Tom Plouff has also represented a number of trade workers and union members in the Chicago construction sector.
Before establishing the Plouff Law Offices in 1994, he served as an assistant US attorney for the Northern District of Indiana and an antitrust litigation attorney with the US Federal Trade Commission. These positions allowed him to fight unfair business practices and prosecute cases of white-collar fraud.
Tom Plouff has also done his part to educate the next generation of law professionals by teaching trial advocacy to law students for nearly three decades.
