Tom Tortorici

Atlanta, Georgia

I've always been fascinated by the idea of communication, from the world-changing impact of Gutenberg's printing press, to a digital web where anyone can be a publisher.

So maybe it's no surprise that my life and career have led me to opportunities to explore communication in different ways.

I've studied communication theory, visual perception, and the psychology of persuasion. I've learned from the masters at New York's top design schools.

I've written all kinds of things, from financial-industry marketing messages, to funny radio commercials, to magazine articles about automobile history.

I've designed magazine ads, posters, billboards, packaging, annual reports, websites and too many logos to count.

I've drawn wildlife portraits in pencil, architecture in pen-and-ink, cartoons, and all manner of commercial illustrations. I've photographed products, portraits, events and college campuses.

I've taught graphic design and stratetgic advertising writing. Lately, I've been giving an educational presentation on web marketing for business people and web designers, called Optimized for Humans.

I've collected media, communications and information technology devices of all types, from an old telegraph set and a Edison phonograph, to a 1947 TV and the world's first cell phone.

I currently help companies who want to take their website or other marketing to the next level, with persuasive messages and designs that appeal to the eye, the mind and the heart.

Perhaps I can help your company truly connect with the people who matter. If you're interested in exploring the possibilities, let's talk.
