Tomas James

I'm a 3rd year MPhys Astrophysics student at Cardiff University.

I am a passionate believer in the importance of scientific outreach to the general public in not just physics, astronomy and astrophysics but in all branches of science, from medical science to computer science. I am a STEM Ambassador for the South Wales area, and have used this opportunity to promote science and its resulting career oppurtunities.

I enjoy writing code in a variety of languages, from Python to LaTeX, HTML to C. I have worked extensively, through university, on using Python to solve problems in physics. I have also written code to symplistically model the colonisation of a galaxy based on several simple assumptions.

I am also a keen writer and regularly write about a range of different topics on my blog. I am currently looking to further this hobby by involving myself in freelance writing opportunities.
