My name is Precious Brazil; I was born and raised in the Philippines until my family moved to the United States for good. I am very fortunate to have grown and have been partially raised in city of Tacloban where I have been an active student leader and science enthusiast from elementary till high school. In high school, I competed in various science investigatory projects and photojournalism contests, managed a sub-camp in the Girl Scouts of the Philippines and served as a Treasurer in the student government.
I am presently a college student in Valencia college who is working towards becoming a researcher. I am driven to discover new things and methodologies as I enjoy breathing in science into my system. I am also passionate about working with children and comforting them in times of sickness, domestic problems or social injustices. I have spent the last 2 years advocating for children in poverty and hunger and for children who have chronic diseases.

Outside of school, I have a special interest in playing chess and taking photographs of animals and nature. In my spare time, I volunteer at the Florida Hospital for Children in the Orthopedic clinic.
