Tom Byrne

Born in Willingboro, New Jersey, my family came to San Jose, California when I was 5-years old. (Father - Mike, Mother - Linda, Brother - Don, Sister - Jaime) I grew up in the Almaden area of south San Jose, went to grade school at St. Francis Cabrini, then on to Archbishop Mitty High School. About 2 months prior to graduation a major event in my life would occur. My parents told me that the family was moving back East. My Father honorably decided to take a pay-cut, so he could move and be closer to my Grandparents, Ruth & Ray Morlock - aka Mema & Pop. Both my Don & Jaime agreed to go with them. I elected to stay back and go to Sonoma State University. College was unreal - too much fun. I survived my first year, walked on to the baseball team the next year and eventually graduated with a degree in business, a league title my Senior year, a ton of great friendships and a Varsity coaching job at a local high school, Casa Grande. I coached ball for 8 years. During that time, I earned a Teaching Credential in Kinesiology (as Fancy Nancy would say, that's fancy for P.E.), was a substitute teacher, bartender, waiter, private baseball instructor, full-time teacher in the inner city of San Francisco (somehow still alive), girls varsity tennis & golf coach, became an insurance broker and met my Wife, Deanna. I have been in the insurance industry since 2002, and built my career as a specialist for providing California real estate brokerages with all of their business and personal insurance needs. Deanna and I happily reside in Rohnert Park and enjoy our two miracles - Peyton Marie and James Tillman "J.T." .
