Tom Caprood

My life revolves around my passion for digital media and technology.

I'm the Digital Editor for The Record, a Digital First Media news organization in Troy, NY.

My daily work includes management of the company's digital presence, including its website, social media accounts, mobile reporting, podcasts, web video production, community engagement efforts, and staff training, among other responsibilities.

As a member of DFM's ideaLab, I also work with a team of employees from across the country to think differently about ways to improve the company, as well as the news industry as a whole, using digital tools.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from The College of Saint Rose in 2007.
