Tom Coppola

I have an unquestionable passion for theater. In 2003, using my degree in public relations, I accepted a marketing internship at Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City. From MTC, I became acquainted with SpotCo, the leading full service advertising and branding agencies for Broadway, cultural institutions and live entertainment.

My tenure at SpotCo began at the receptionist desk, moving up to the broadcast department as an associate producer where he was swiftly promoted to senior producer in 5 years. In my 5 years as producer, I had the honor of producing outstanding TV and radio commercials for such notable Broadway productions (such as RENT, Chicago, Avenue Q, and West Side Story), numerous transfers from regional theaters, and iconic NYC institutions such as The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and New York Botanical Garden.

While at SpotCo, I continued to freelance for other off-off Broadway NYC theater companies as a press and marketing director. My move to Chicago in August, 2010 was self-motivated—a desire to live in a more affordable urban environment with an equally rich cultural background. Since his relocation, Tom has worked with Village Theatre Guild and Big Noise Theatre Company with their press and marketing efforts.

My theater background spans over 20 years as performer, director/choreographer, press and marketing manager, TV & radio producer and production business manager. Combining all of these experiences help, I bring new and varied perspective to his work as a media relations professional for the performing arts.
