The past few months I have been steering my focus towards the general field of IT, trying to get an idea of the carreer possibilities in this field. At the start I had a slight preference towards programming in particular, but my primary goal was to get aquainted with a wide range of carreer paths that one can take within this sector. I started using my network to arrange 'orientation days', which meant I would accompany someone (a friend or acquaintance) for one day while they were just having a normal workday, just so I could see what their daily tasks look like. By doing this, I learned what an average day at the office looks like if you are a programmer, a tester, a designer or a system administrator.

Although I have a bachelor- and mastersdegree in psychology, my interest in this field started to fade from the moment I took a course called 'programming' during my bachelor. During this course, the basics of Delphi, PHP and HTML passed by. I decided to complete my psychology study first, since I like to finish everything I start. Now however, I am at a point in time where I am searching for a decent ICT traineeship, which will guide me during my personal path in the world of IT, leading to becoming an IT-expert.

I think I am a perfect candidate for a position in an ICT traineeship due to my general interest/motivation in IT, strong analytical skills and persistence. I would consider myself to be a progressive and inquisitive person. Combined with my strong personality and communicative skills (partly because of my psychology background), I believe I will be an asset to any company.
