Tom Hall
My job involves managing partnerships and business development on behalf of Pearson Group companies with everyone from Apple and Facebook right through to start-ups. Amidst all that there are lots of events, sponsorship programmes where we look for new talent and partners, and 'technology scans' in international markets to seek digital partners and help shape digital strategy. I also mentor on the Seedcamp accelerator programme in Europe.
I do not write for the Guardian, as my more famous counterpart does over at Lonely Planet.
Outside of work I live in the Yorkshire countryside with my wife Sara (who runs www.lonetreecards.co.uk), 2 young sons and a black labrador (to complete the cliche). If I had the time I would play tennis more and read alot more fiction. I travel alot for work but still love an airport in my downtime too.
