As principal and owner of Olson Kundig Architects, Tom Kundig has attracted widespread local and national media attention.
Tom Kundig has also received attention from such media outlets as The Seattle Times, which has taken note of his current project at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. There, he has designed a new visitor's center that will include classroom space, expanded visitor services, and a kitchen for catered events. Having incorporated local materials in construction of the space, he anticipates a gold LEED rating for the facility.
Additionally, Tom Kundig recently garnered notice in Architects & Artisans magazine. In the publication's 2013 issue, an article on newly published book The Greenest Home mentioned the Carraig Ridge Project, where his mentor-ship helped incorporate a number of energy-efficient design features. He is also the subject of two books that focus on his home designs. The first of these, Tom Kundig Houses, earned distinction as one of the top-selling architecture books published to date by Princeton Architectural Press.
