Looking for Operations Management position in Trieste, Italia
I've spent the better part of my career doing things the complicated way, not just out of stubbornness, but because the interesting problems tend to live there.
I cofounded an artisan gelato shop in Tallinn, ran a press shop in Trieste for five years while simultaneously opening a second business, sourced industrial components from suppliers across four continents, and spent three months in the United States figuring out the furniture distribution chain. In between, I've lived in Tallinn, Ljubljana, Salerno, and Milan, and picked up enough about navigating unfamiliar systems (legal, cultural, logistical) that I always find a way forward.
I like get into the room, understand what's actually broken, build something that works, and make sure the people around you want to be there.
I'm currently based in Trieste, working in financial services while preparing to complete a degree in Economics, the formal foundation I've been meaning to add to about fifteen years of doing things empirically. I'm open to opportunities that combine operational or managerial responsibility with room to grow, and I'm not tied to any particular geography.
Outside of work I'm interested in computers/IT, photography, psychology and the occasional tabletop game that goes on longer than anyone planned.
