Tom Rein

Founder, CEO, and Student in Austin, Texas

Tom Rein is the eighteen-year-old founder and CEO behind Tom’s Aerial Vehicles Incorporated and Bean Audio.

At age thirteen, Rein founded his first company in his parent’s walk-in closet with less than three hundred dollars in savings and a box of old tools. His company, Bean Audio, achieved nearly six figures in sales during its first year in business. Rein obtained utility and design patents for his speakers the following year.

With the earnings from Bean Audio, Rein founded Tom’s Aerial Vehicles Incorporated while still in high school. Tom’s Aerial Vehicles Incorporated is a Texas-based public safety drone company that builds police drones for Americans by Americans. Rein has received numerous patents for his research into drones. CGTN proclaims him a “[16-year-old who] challenges DJI in drone making.” RealClearDefense describes him as "The Teen Taking On China’s Drone Dominance." Wave Media calls Rein "DJI's Youngest Challenger."

As the Founder and CEO of Tom’s Aerial Vehicles Incorporated (TAV), Rein is responsible for developing patented technology, securing funding through angel investors and venture capitalists, spearheading strategic planning, and managing media relations. Additionally, Rein reinvests a significant portion of his earnings into TAV’s research and development, citing that he wants to “make the world a safer place.”
