Tom Ruggie

Tom is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and a veteran of the investment and financial planning industries who began his career in 1991 and subsequently founded Ruggie Wealth Management to serve individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations. Tom’s entrepreneurial spirit, investment strategy and steadfast dedication to client service have allowed him to grow Ruggie Wealth Management into a firm which, along with its principals, advises on nearly $500 million in assets.

Tom has developed a proprietary investment process, ‘The Ruggie Method Distribution Strategy’, which seeks to optimize income distribution from a pool of investor assets.

In 2009, Tom was honored by then Florida Governor Charlie Crist with an appointment to the Board of the Florida Prepaid College Plan and served as its vice chair until 2013. The Plan manages almost $10 billion in assets and serves over 80,000 college student annually. He was also named Founding Lecturer of the esteemed “Retirement Advisor Advanced Certification and Education Program” of TRAU™ (The Retirement Advisor University™) at UCLA Anderson School of Management, Executive Education.
