Tom Shanks

I'm an Engineer - I design, build and repair things. My engineering company works with our clients on a number of exciting projects repairing reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, safety relief valves and pilot operated relief valves. We provide a steel fabrication service constructing steel portal frame buildings, industrial stairways and ladders, gantries and handrails.

I'm also a major shareholder in Shanks Consulting Ltd. We offer our clients Chartered Consulting Engineers specialising in civil and structural design.

I hold a first class engineering degree from the University of Strathclyde and I worked as a Project Engineer on BMW's New Mini. On top of all that, I'm a father of three wonderful kids and married to a beautiful Food Scientist called Lynn. I love playing football and golf (when I get the time). Oh, and that's me on the left, taking some condition monitoring readings, checking the health of valves on a reciprocating compressor.
