Tom Weidner

Dr. Weidner completed his undergraduate and graduate work in Health Education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Throughout this time, he served as an athletic trainer, first as a student, then as a graduate assistant, eventually as Men’s Assistant Athletic Trainer. Shortly before he finished his PhD (completed Spring, 1986), Tom was hired to direct the Athletic Training Education Program for California State University—Northridge, where he served from 1985-1991. Since 1991, Dr. Weidner has been at Ball State University where he served as Program Director and Director of the Athletic Training Education and Research Laboratory for 20 years.

Dr. Weidner now serves as the Chairperson for the School of Physical Education, Sport, and Exercise Science.
