When I was in my early Thirties and looking for work I could feel passionate about, I got lucky. Through some unexpected twists and turns, I got the chance to co-found an international performing arts camp (Songs of Hope) for young artists. In my role as one of the camp's two directors, I have had years of pleasure watching and sharing as young people aged 9-13 from countries worldwide grew into different people as a result of their rich and rewarding experiences living and working with peers from other cultures.

While I was pursuing this work passionately, I also hung onto a burning desire to write for young people. Eventually, Songs of Hope became established enough that I could launch this additional career. Now that I have started writing, one thing I know for sure is that I want to create stories that will draw readers into the mystery, excitement, and wonder of cultural discovery. It is in my blood, so to speak.

As a writer, I have three main goals. Obviously, one is to invent and detail rich cultures that will excite imaginations. Another is to write compelling stories that will entertain and enlighten. I am a lover of ancient myths and I seek to pan and use the nuggets of gold that make them such wondrous tales, while keeping my stories modern and relevant.

My final goal is to do something completely different. I see technology as offering an untapped potential to create for readers of all ages a series of experiences that go beyond the pages of an eBook. This is why I created Eshmagick Enterprises, which is a collaborative effort by talented artists interested in exploring the medium of the internet to take eBooks in new directions. We do this by linking our eBooks to outside web pages where one can experience and enjoy wondrous illustrations, colorful animations, games, puzzles, and other rich materials. We like to call its readers Storyers and our goal is to offer them an all-new reading experience.

Right now, I'm extremely excited to offer Eshmagick's first eBook and I can hardly wait to start the Eshmagick Team on its next project! Our first product, DARK CURSES AND FAERIE DREAMS, is pure fantasy with a twist of modern technology for all you fantasy buffs out there. The next eBook, TYME BENDERS, will mix fantasy and sci-fi in ways that are out of this world.
