I am the creator of andyousaychicity.com. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, but I now reside in Washington D.C. Here I'm known as "BreSoChi" (Chi as in "shy" and not "chee") but that's a discussion for another time. Future post maybe?

I am a current student at Howard University, Senior Marketing Major to be exact. Future entrepreneur and life changer. My mission is to change the way Chicago is seen and represented. My mission is to help change the lives of youth in Chicago. My mission is to change Chicago.

Seems like a stretch right? Maybe I'm even dreaming too big? Can I really change an entire city? Probably not. But I can help change one life and that is enough for me.

As I said, I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, West Englewood to be exact.

I attended the largest high school in the city of Chicago.

I mentor youth both in Chicago and Washington D.C

I volunteer in Chicago during breaks at school .

But those arent the only things that make me who I am.

I also like to shop, go out, and enjoy what life has to offer.

I enjoy listening to the talent that is created in the city. Especially in forms of spoken word, rap and R&B music.

Chicago Pop up shops are amazing.

I think Downtown Chicago is the greatest place ever created. But so is Wrigleyville. And Boystown. And Chinatown.

Actually, I think Chicago is the greatest place ever. All of it.

Everything I've listed is random, but that's just it: I am too.

I am not another chicago statistic. I dont want people to think that Chicago only breeds statistics.

I want to show people that there is more to Chicago than what is displayed in the media. I want to the good that comes out of the city, in the forms of people, paces, music, ideas, and talent.
