I am a highly-motivated, experienced and result orientated Programme and Operations Director with a sound commercial background. A graduate of the Cabinet Office Major Project Leadership Academy, I am qualified to lead a project on the Government Major Project Portfolio. I am a Cabinet Office accredited Major Project Authority Reviewer, assuring high risk government programmes / projects.
Awarded the OBE in 2014 for services to the provision and improvement of digital public services.
Recent roles include:
- Setting up the Government Digital Service (GDS), including a major business change programme including transitioning people to a new organisation structure, managing the relocation to accommodation suitable to support agile ways of working and with an IT system that gave people the tools they needed to do their jobs.
- Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the Digital Marketplace platform and redesign government procurement frameworks, including G-Cloud, ensuring that they were both legally compliant and easy to use.
