Tony Donoghue MBCS
Crowthorne, Berkshire, UK
I have spent my entire career working in the field of IT. From the early days of monitoring and maintaining the communication links for a major UK supermarket, I later progressed to designing components of electronic equipment to send data across the telephone network. Moving then into a more traditional IT role, I spent 10 years designing and building large network infrastructures for the NHS, including wireless and PACS networks, introducing these in to Trusts years before they became what are now core services.
For the next 5 years I was Technical Director at ISEEU Global, who design, build and maintain secure communication software where I was jointly responsible for product design, IT security, research and development, patenting, trademarks and IT strategy with my colleague and good friend Steve Clements.
I have now started my own company, Magikos IT, where we are undertaking to take this knowledge and experience and help small and medium size businesses take advantage of the money saving and research undertaken by the corporate IT organisations. There are opportunities for small and medium size businesses to save significant money by adopting Open Source software, or migrating to Cloud services or Backup if they get the right help, assistance and advice. At Magikos IT we are breaking down technical barriers, explaining complex and challenging IT using ordinary straight-forward language to ensure our customers know exactly what is being undertaken, how it will be achieved and gaining their trust that it will be delivered on-time and in a cost effective way.
