Tony Frogameni

A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Tony Frogameni, MD possesses extensive experience in his field and shares his skills with the greater community. He currently treats patients and performs surgical procedures at Toledo Orthopaedic Surgeons, Inc., where Dr. Tony Frogameni was a founding partner more than a decade ago. The state-of-the-art establishment features facilities for MRI testing, physical therapy, and a comprehensive surgical center. Patients also have access to an on-site health club measuring 100,000 square feet in size.

Beyond his work at Toledo Orthopaedic Surgeons, Tony Frogameni, MD offers his expertise as the Team Physician for the Catholic Youth Organization and Toledo Mud Hens Organization, serving in the same capacity for 15 high schools in the Toledo area. Dr. Frogameni is on the board of the Italian American Sports Club, as Co-Director of Sports Care. The former President of the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, he holds membership in several professional organizations.

Prior to his medical career, Dr. Tony Frogameni obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1985. Over the next six years, he completed a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency through his alma mater. In 1992, Dr. Frogameni finished a yearlong fellowship program in sports medicine at the Southern Cal Center for Sports Medicine.

Actively involved in the community, he serves as a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Dr. Frogameni also donates his time to mentoring area students, assisting with their high school senior projects. He provides support to a number of charitable organizations, such as Ronald McDonald House Charities, Central City Ministries, and the Hemophilia Society, among others.
