Rick Holmes

Rick Holmes is the weekend anchor and Newark

Newsroom Reporter. He joined News 12 New Jersey

in 2007. Rick is originally from Suburban Boston,

but is no stranger to New Jersey. He has several

family members who live in Passaic and Bergen

Counties. Rick graduated with a degree in

journalism from Emerson College in Boston.

One of his teachers was current News 12 New Jersey

sportscaster George Falkowski, which is why

you'll often hear Rick refer to George as

'the professor'

when they share the anchor desk. He's now

a Newark native and when not at work,

can be found in the stands at a Yankees or Mets game,

or at the Jersey Shore.
